New Urge to Squelch/Stage "Lestat"

by "kingls@[EMAIL PROTECTED] " <kingls@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Dec 5, 2005 at 05:51 PM

So since I no longer have my original urge to squelch, that of bringing
a police whistle to opening night (oh, man, it would be SO EASY... just
wait for curtain call, then lay on that puppy. Once everyone's
attention is obtained, go into it: "Ladies and Gentlemen, pardon the
intrusion, but allow me to point out something y'all might be missing.
Once upon a time, in a town called Paris, there was a theater--look
around at the Curran as if to say 'hey, THIS is a theater'-- the stage
of which was occupied by vampires pretending to be mortals pretending
to be vampires." Let that sink in, then look up at Panaro: "You just
couldn't stand it, could you?" and wait for the audience to laugh its
ass off and, probably, give him (another) standing O. )

But. As I'm pretty sure the actual libretto INCOR****ATES this idea, the
whole whistle thing is moot (good thing, too, just in case of that
"going to jail" thing). So now I have a NEW urge to suppress: getting
stickers printed up to slap on every poster I can find: NOW WITH
EDITING!

New & improved, don't you know.

(Quoth Bernie Taupin: "We've unified these books into a linear
narrative." OH, THANK GOD!!)
