Got this this morning (Friday, July 6) from Susan:
Hi all,
Dad is having open heart surgery this morning.
I'm picking up my aunt and leaving for the hospital in
just a few minutes, but thought I'd drop a line to ask
for special prayers today because he'll be in surgery
for 6-7 hours. He's having a triple bypass with
aortic resectioning. His aorta was kind of okay but
they said he'd have to have it done in a year or so,
so it was better to do it now while he was open than
to have to come back for another surgery.
Mom is hanging on and seems a little better.
Definitely more alert and responsive since they took
her off that Halidol.
Thanks for all the prayers. We really need them!
