Dear Susan,
Deepest and most sincere sympathies for your loss.
We lost my father-in-law 18 months ago, and likewise had been denying
the inevitability for a while. I believe you're right - knowing that
your dad is no longer suffering pain and was ready to let go can be a
real comfort at times like this.
Prayers for ease in your loss and healing thoughts are with you and
your Mom.
