Came home last night, actually. I feel pretty good- a little uncomfortable,
but no real pain. Or at least nothing that the ibuprofen does not take
care
of nicely. And percoset is just lovely for sleeping! LOL The staples come
out tomorrow, so I will not look so much like something out of a
Frankenstein remake! LOL
Seriously, tho, I cannot stress enough the importance of a routine
colonoscopy. It does not sound like fun (and it wasn't really "fun" but
not
really bad, either). The biopsy did show cancer, but it was very
superficial
and early stage, and nothing showed in the lymph nodes. They got it all
during the surgery, and I do not have to have any sort of follow-up. But
this could easily have been much worse if I had not had that colonoscopy.
Prevention and early detection are key, folks. Don't put it off- any of
it.
And thank you all for your thoughts, prayers and wishes. I appreciate them
all!
