We took a little time off for the summer but we're back with the Destroyer
Club newsletter.
The big news this month is the upcoming release -- just one month away --
of
The New Destroyer: Choke Hold. Just a quick FYI: The release date
mentioned in the back of Guardian Angel is wrong, due to a delay with the
cover artwork. Choke Hold will be out on October 30. And remember, the

We just heard recently from someone who didn't know about Warren's video
on
YouTube. A lot of folks who visit the site head straight to the forums,
so
they miss the news updates that are regularly posted on the main page (
http://www.destroyerclub.com/).
For those of you who don't know, a few
months back Warren's son Brian posted a little footage from a talk Warren
gave at the Chesapeake Public Library. The video is available here:

Thanks to the DClub mention in The New Destroyer: Guardian Angel, we've
had
a busy couple of months at Destroyer Club. We've got a whole bunch of new
members and we've noticed a few of our old regulars have come back too.
It's great to see you all, welcome aboard, and don't be shy about chiming
in
at our forums.
For the benefit of our new and returning members we will (hopefully) soon
be
unveiling a special forum at DClub to welcome new and old friends.
Destroyer fans are some of the nicest online and our forums are the most
civil we've ever seen. We want to go the extra mile to make everyone feel
at home, and the Welcome forum might encourage our shy guests to jump into
the Destroyer conversation. Details soon. In the meantime...
When you visit DClub's main page, have you noticed the Chat Forum link
under
the Main Menu? It's a cool feature which hasn't been used much lately and
we've decided to remedy that. We've set aside Tuesdays at 9 PM EST (8
CST/7
PST) as DestroyerClub chat time. Drop by any time that hour to meet fellow
fans -- discuss the books, the movie, and other Destroyer related
subjects.
One or more of the moderators will be around, but you never can tell who
else may drop in.
Jim has recently announced the cover blurb of New Destroyer: Dead
Reckoning
at his forum at http://www.jamesmullaney.com/.
This is an exclusive, not
posted anywhere else online so if you want to see what's up with New
Destroyer #3, check out Jim's forum. While we're at it, let's not forget
