Destroyer Club Newsletter

From: DestroyerClub.com

Hello is all right!

It's been a few months since our last official Destroyer Club newsletter.
We've been resting between books, but with the April 1 release of the
third
New Destroyer, Dead Reckoning, things are starting to heat up.

To start off, we have two very im****tant announcements. First, Tor wants
to
include an interview with Warren and Jim in their April newsletter and
they
want us, the fans, to ask the questions. The deadline is short, Jim has
asked that questions be sent in by Saturday, February 23. So that gives
you
one week. We've set up a special thread at the Destroyer Club forums
which
can be reached from the main page. So anything you've ever wanted to ask
Warren and Jim, now's the time!

Second big announcement. Tor is trying to gauge interest in a book
signing
for Jim. The signing would be in early April in the North Central
Massachusetts area (Worcester County). Anyone who lives in the region and

would like to attend, please let us know at the Destroyer Club forums so
we
can try a head count. (Hopefully not ALL of our fans live in Texas.) For

those who are too far away to attend, we're trying to determine if any of
you would be interested in having a Destroyer Club member who lives nearby

buy the book for you and get it signed and personalized by Jim, so swing
by
the forums for details.

Now on to other news.

For those of you who haven't found Choke Hold yet, yes it IS really
available. The distribution problems we had with the first book have
persisted. For those of you who have not yet tracked Choke Hold down, it
is
still available online at
www.amazon.com/New-Destroyer-Choke-Hold/dp/0765357607/ref=pd_sim_b_4/105-7045305-5021208?ie=UTF8&qid=1156437116&sr=1-6.

New Destroyer #1, Guardian Angel, is still available as well at
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0765357593/sr=1-6/qid=1156437116/ref=sr_1_6/104-5719571-3321525?ie=UTF8&s=books.

And speaking of the first two New Destroyers, congratulations to Warren
and
Jim are in order. For those of you who haven't visited our main page in
the
past month, Destroyer Club was recently pleased to announce that Guardian
Angel, Choke Hold and The Best of The Destroyer all made the Bookgasm Web
site's list of the top ten crime novels in 2007. The complete list can be

checked out here:
http://www.bookgasm.com/reviews/thrillers/bullets-broads-blackmail-bombs-crime-time-in-07/

That's it for the old New Destroyers, now on to the new New Destroyers.

We are all counting down the days until the April 1 release of Dead
Reckoning,
http://www.amazon.com/New-Destroyer-Dead-Reckoning/dp/0765357615/ref=sr_1_69/002-5815306-2116838?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1186741614&sr=1-69

While we're waiting, those of you who'd like an early peek can check out
the
great review of Dead Reckoning recently posted at The Trades Web site:
http://www.the-trades.com/article.php?id=6199

And Amazon.com is already taking pre-orders for New Destroyer #4, Killer
Ratings. No cover image yet, but sales ticked up as soon as this latest
Remo adventure was listed. For those of you who hate to wait in line, be
the first on your block to order Killer Ratings, due for release this
July:

Jim wanted us to let you all know that he knows the forums at his Web site

(www.jamesmullaney.com) have been down this past month. He swears that
he's
got his crack staff of illegal Mexican and Chinese immigrants hard at work

on the problem, but since he's cut their pay to seven cents a week they've

become far more surly and far less motivated so the problem probably won't

be resolved until Cinco de Mayo or Chinese New Year, whichever comes last.

We'll keep you posted.

That's all we have for now. The big news right now is the Tor newsletter
interview and the Jim Mullaney book signing. Remember to post your
questions at Destroyer Club, where you can also RSVP about the signing.

One month until Dead Reckoning! See you then!

Sincerely,

The Cheap White Help
