When did you start reading Joyce?

by "mikie9988@[EMAIL PROTECTED] " <mikie9988@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Dec 2, 2006 at 08:07 PM

I stumbled upon James Joyce back in March when my English teacher
introduced us to the stream-of-consciousness technique with Faulkner's
The Sound and the Fury. It was a good book, but I had heard her
mention that he was inspired somewhat by Joyce's pioneering work in the
genre. So I picked up Ulysses and read that over about a 5 month span.
I just finished Finnegans Wake about a week ago and am reading A
****trait in my English class right now. I hope to finish that, Stephen
Hero, Dubliners, and Exiles before the first of the year (I'm going to
hit it hard over Christmas Break). So anyways, when did you all first
start to read Joyce (I'm 17, by the way)?
