A free book - an introduction to economics

by Kevin Bucknall <kevinbucknall@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > May 20, 2007 at 11:10 AM

Until recently I tutored in economics for the GCE Advanced Level, Edexcel
Syllabus, in the UK. This is generally used for selection for university
entrance. This course is an introductory one and the economic notes would
be valuable for those just starting out; those looking for revision
material; and possibly students at first year university if the course is
not heavily mathematical.

I stopped teaching and decided to write up my notes as a book. It is clear
that I am simply too busy ever to finish this, so I have put the economics
notes online for free download. These have been rewritten into better
English and the abbreviations etc cut out, so that they read better than
they did.

1. You can get it as a single book, which is good for those with broadband
(ISDN).

2. You can download Unit by Unit ¡V there are six in all (e.g. "Unit 3 -
Managing the Economy").

3. If you have a slow connection, you can get it topic by topic (e.g.
6-3.
The Balance of Payments).

The individual Units or the topics can be read online or downloaded to
your
computer.

Best wishes.
