Whacha reading?

by "K Barrett" <mormodes@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jul 16, 2008 at 08:16 PM

I finished 'The Broken Window' by Jeffrey Deaver on mp3 from Audible.com.
Better than I thought it would be. For me it was something like a beach
read. I wasn't looking for anything mind challenging when I downloaded
this
book and I got what I wanted. Nothing great, a decent story and quickly
forgotten. ( Deaver's no Mina)

I'm reading Stephen Booth's 'Dying to Sin' and finding it slow going. A
lot
of talk and no action. Bodies of 2 dead people are found buried in 2
shallow graves on a farm in the Peak District and the cops are trying to
decide whether there's a crime involved or not. Bwuh? Like, this ain't
no
cemetery, guys. No dead bodies are supposed to be there.... unless its
legal that one can accidentally die and be anonymously buried w/o permits
or
governmental recognition of the burial on a farm in England - somehow I
don't think so. T'would break a few laws here in the good old USA. I
want
to take Booth by the neck and squeeze him til his blue eyes bulge. Glad I

bought this in paperback.

If I toss Booth against the wall I'll probably start reading Shatter by
Robotham. I probably should have started there, but I like Booth so I
started with him, thinking I'd get a great read. Ha! I shouldn't save the
good ones till last...
